Bienvenida! My name is Liliana Lizalde, family and friends call me Lili. I am a Registered Nurse and a Certified Life Coach. I help Latina women embrace their identity to break down cultural limitations. I support novice and experienced nurses in building their confidence levels as they transition and navigate the healthcare field to reach their fullest potential.
I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, tía, sister-in-law, nina, prima, sobrina, comadre, friend, nurse, mentor, and coach to many people I love and care for. I have 3 wonderful children and have been married for 13 years to the most supportive husband.
My strengths are to build relationships with just about anyone. I believe my biggest attributes are listening and advocating for myself and others.
As a first-generation immigrant, I have had many obstacles to overcome. However, my determination and discipline to achieve my goals have allowed me to follow my intuition and dreams. I became the first college graduate in my family without much guidance. I navigated nursing school while pregnant with my first child which came with many obstacles. I had my family's love and support but unfortunately, I had to navigate many loopholes on my own. My children have been my biggest motivation to continue working on myself. As a nurse, I constantly see needs that many of my patients and caregivers have that are not healthcare-related. Their medical diagnosis is just one of the determinants that has people stuck but not confined to a life that could change.
I started self-discovery and personal development work when I felt that my life was not changing. I had everything that I once prayed for and worked so hard for but was this it? I felt guilty and ashamed of not being completely happy with my achievements but knew there was more to do.
My background in nursing helped me develop my true passion for serving. I help other women find their ambitions and strive for more in life. We must remember that in the end, our responsibility falls on ourselves. There is more to being content with life. The ambition of wanting more is no reason to feel guilt or shame. Investing in ourselves is part of our self-care. Mental and physical self-care are crucial parts of our well-being.
I have invested so much in my self-growth. I have learned much more about myself and the person I want to be. I’ve grown to accept who I am. I am proud to say that I have worked through many of my limiting beliefs and self-doubts that were holding me back.
And because of all the many hats that I balance in my life, I have a passion for supporting all women and nurses, especially Latina's. I look forward to continuing to share what is possible for all Latina women struggling to fulfill their needs and wanting more for themselves. As a nurse, I want to empower nurses to find the confidence they need as they navigate the dynamic world of nursing.
